Tablelands Pocket Film Festival

We have been inviting you to share stories of how life occurs for you since 2022 and the results have been amazing. Shoot your story on your smartphone, no more than 10 minutes long (3 minutes is plenty) and upload by October 9th. Imagine the thrill when you see your work on the big screen.

Film Workshops

We have run workshops on how to make mobile content for the past few years. Elements of film, how to use editing software (and where to find the free stuff) and the skills you need to record a really interesting oral history. We also have lighting and sound recording equipment to help you get the best results if you need it.

Meet Me

This project works with the aged care facilities on the Tablelands to interview and collect the stories of folk who are going into aged care. We visit them at their homes and record stories of their lives, including vision of their work, their farm, their memories of a life well lived.

Do you need a film made?

We aren't set up to make films for other people, but we made an exception for a community group who needed to get their message out. The Cairns Prostate Support Group participated in a series of very personal interviews sharing their prostate cancer journeys.

Film Screenings

We have had the most amazing range of stories submitted since we started in 2022. They are well worth seeing again, and if you would like to have a film night for your community or club, contact us here to arrange a screening.
